Religious Education

Studying religion is crucial to understanding our increasingly diverse world.

Religious Education at Key Stage 3 and 4 at Fleming Fulton School, aims to equip pupils with an awareness, knowledge and understanding of Christianity and two other world religions, an awareness of the writings, places of worship and beliefs of these religions and sensitivity towards those beliefs, practices and the lifestyles of their followers. In addition, pupils will study, in more detail, writings and stories from the Christian Bible.

They will also have the opportunity to study the impact of religious belief on every day life, to develop critical and creative thinking in their approach to solving problems and making decisions and to acquire knowledge of how religious beliefs and teachings can inform answers to questions about the meaning and purpose of life as well as moral and ethical issues.
