ICT

In today’s technological world ICT is a relevant and important skill.  In Fleming Fulton we recognise this and aim to develop our learners’ ICT skills and knowledge to enable them to use ICT effectively in their daily lives.

Key Stage 3

Our ICT programme is multifaceted.  It not only aims to provide pupils with the necessary ICT skills required for GCSE ICT, but also to empower them with the necessary skills, understanding and confidence to make appropriate and effective use of ICT in other subject areas of the curriculum.  At Key Stage 3 ICT is taught both as subject and as a cross-curricular skill where pupils build a portfolio of work for ‘Using ICT’.  Pupils follow a programme of study to enhance their skills in Word-processing, Email, Desktop Publishing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Multimedia Presentation and Website Design.  All pupils have access to their own personal ipad for the duration of the school day.

Post-16

Pupils can choose ICT as an optional subject to study.  Depending on skill and ability we offer:

  • GCSE ICT
  • Entry Level ICT units in Occupational Studies
  • ICT units in OCR Life and Living Skills
